Redevelopment San Francesco a Ripa
The redevelopment works of the external spaces belonging to the former convent of San Francesco a Ripa, in Rome, have been completed.
The ancient complex, home to some service rooms of the Heritage Protection Unit and one of the offices of the Ministry of Culture, is divided into different buildings, surrounded by an external space for undefined use.
The functionally unqualified space was the starting point in the conception of a project that would reassign a meaning to paths and areas: thus a harmonious courtyard was born in which pedestrian and vehicular flows are neatly defined and where it is also possible to host small events.
The paths are created and defined in colored stabilized earth with a drainage function.
The project also includes external lighting which will allow the area to be used in the evening, thus contributing to the enhancement of the new space.
